Many times, people launch their podcasts as an extension of their online business. And just like their business, the podcasts needs promotion so listeners can find the show. However, many also launch their podcasts as an alternative way to promote their services and products without relying on social media. So, how can you promote your podcast without social media? One of the ways I shared in this post is through blogging. But then the blog posts needs promotion – so that’s where MissingLettr comes in.
Today, I want to talk about how I use MissingLettr to promote my podcast.

What is MissingLettr?
First, let me answer the question: What is MissingLettr? MissingLettr is a social media automation tool designed to turn your blog content into a year-long drip campaign. In other words, it takes the content from your blog post and creates engaging social media posts. It comes complete with captions, hashtags, and images. Then it schedules the campaigns to publish across your social platforms for the next 12 months.
I currently have my MissingLettr campaigns to publish on Facebook, Google Business, and LinkedIn.
How I Use MissingLettr to Promote My Podcast
With each podcast episode, I also publish a blog post that summarizes the episode. The post also highlights the key points from the guest and provides a link to watch the episode on YouTube. MissingLettr is connected to my website domain, and once a new link or blog post becomes available, it automatically creates a campaign.
Again, the campaign consists of quotes from the blog post, images within the blog post, and hashtags relevant to the blog post. Once the campaign is available, I need to review and approve the quotes, media, and hashtags. There is an option to create your own hashtags and generate more quotes if the ones picked are not to your liking.
Once everything is approved, MissingLettr generates a 12-month campaign that shares snippets of the blog post, which essentially promotes the podcast episode. For the next year, my blog post (and by extension, my podcast episode) gets promoted without me lifting another finger.
Advantages of Using MissingLettr
- Long-Term Visibility
In addition to the two video posts that I publish for each podcast episode, the episode and blog post are consistently shared for an entire year. This keeps my content alive and continuously driving traffic long after the initial release. - Hands-Off Automation
After the campaign is approved and scheduled, MissingLettr runs in the background. As a busy podcaster, this allows me to stay focused on interviewing and finding new guests without having to manually post every day. - Multi-Platform Support
It connects seamlessly to Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Business. These platforms enable me to reach various segments of my audience, including listeners, collaborators, and potential sponsors. - Smart Content Creation
It pulls quotes, images, and text from my blog post to create engaging captions and graphics. It even suggests hashtags to help increase visibility.
Disadvantages of Using MissingLettr
- No Pinterest Support
To me, the biggest downside is that it doesn’t publish to Pinterest. Since I use Pinterest as part of my evergreen content marketing strategy, I cannot integrate my Pinterest pins to MissingLettr, so it has to be done separately. However, aside from this, I love everything else it does.
Conclusion on Using MissingLettr to Promote My Podcast
Overall, MissingLettr has become a valuable tool for promoting my podcast. It helps me stay consistent, saves me time, and keeps my episodes in front of my audience well beyond launch day. While it’s not a complete solution, I still manually create Pinterest pins to promote on Pinterest, it does take a big chunk of the promotional load off my shoulders.
If you’re a podcaster or blogger looking to automate your marketing efforts, MissingLettr might be worth checking out—especially if you’re already creating blog posts for your podcast episodes.
