Heidy De La Cruz

Writer, Podcaster, and Podcast Coach

Hello, my name is Heidy De La Cruz, and welcome to my website!

I am the daughter of two Dominican immigrants who came to this country in the 90s to start a new life together!

My first love is writing, I write poetry and published my first poetry book – Words From The Heart. I host a weekly Substack newsletter called, “Into My Thoughts” where I share personal experiences with life lessons, opinion pieces, book reviews, and faith-based encouraging posts.

I am a daughter of Christ, a wife, and a mother.
I have my Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration through Belhaven University, and I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a concentration of Psychology and Healthcare Administration, through Keiser University.

Reading is my second love so I am an active reader, as well. I love non-fiction books because I love history, and I enjoy learning. The more you know, the better, and I am a true believer that knowledge is power. And I share the book reviews for books that I feel would benefit my audience.

I currently work in the medical field as a Medical Coding Analyst, and I’ve been in the medical field for almost 10 years!

And my third love is podcasting! I host The American Dream In The Eyes of Immigrants Podcast. In this podcast I talk with immigrants about their journey coming to the USA, their culture shocks, and how they adapted to living in a new country. This podcast started with the mission to change the narrative of immigration to a more compassionate and empathetic approach – like a Jesus approach. And to provide a safe space for immigrants to share their stories. You can subscribe on Spotify or YouTube.

Lastly, I run a media company – De La Cruz Media! Where I can serve you as a copywriter, a speaker, or a podcast coach. If you’d like to get in contact with me in regards to services – you can do so here.

My hobbies include writing, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Thank you for spending some time getting to know me; I’d love to connect!
