There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work when it comes to podcasting. From brainstorming podcast episode ideas to recording, editing, creating content, and marketing, it can easily become overwhelming. When I first started my podcast three years ago, I wasn’t using AI to help with my podcast process, but as time went on, I needed additional help.

Disclaimer: I don’t use AI to replace my creativity or my voice, but I do use it as a supportive partner to streamline my workflow, save time, and make sure my podcast sounds and looks professional. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how I use AI to help with my podcast.

Auphonic: Final Touches on Editing

I’ve written before about using Auphonic. But I absolutely love using Auphonic because it polishes my episodes and makes them sound crisp and professional. Auphonic levels out the volume so all voices are balanced, removes unnecessary pauses and background breathing, and enhances the overall sound quality.

This means I don’t have to stress about every small audio detail—I can focus more on the conversation itself, knowing that Auphonic will handle the finishing touches. Editing is the longest process of podcasting, but I am so glad tools like Auphonic are available.

Whisper Transcribe: Turning Episodes Into Content

I’ve also written about WhisperTranscribe before, and how it helps me generate additional content for my podcast to help with marketing. It starts with generating the transcript for each episode. And then it helps generate the following pieces of content:

  • Blog posts that dive deeper into the conversation.
  • LinkedIn posts that highlight key takeaways.
  • Newsletter content to share with my subscribers.
  • Show notes that give listeners a preview of the episode.

Of course, because it’s AI, the transcript and generated content still need to be edited and tailored to sound like me. But it gives me a solid starting point, which saves a lot of time in the long run.

Before using WhisperTranscribe for the blog posts, I would wait until the episode was published and use the transcription available on Apple Podcasts to write my blog post. But now that I have WhisperTranscribe, I don’t have to wait until the episode is published, and I can work ahead of schedule. I’m already writing blog posts for episodes for next year.

ChatGPT: SEO-Optimized Episode Titles

I wrote a whole blog post about this, and you can read it here. But here is a quick breakdown of the process.

  1. Use ChatGPT and upload your episode transcript.
  2. Ask ChatGPT to generate SEO optimized episode titles from the transcript.
  3. Pick a Few You Like (Mix and Match If You Want)
  4. Check SEO score on Capitalize My Title.

Your podcast title matters—a lot. Especially for Podcast SEO! A good title makes your episode easier to find in search engines and on podcast apps. This is why I use ChatGPT to brainstorm and refine SEO-optimized titles for each episode.

Grammarly: Polished Writing Every Time

I’ve been using Grammarly for years before I started podcasting. I believe I learned about Grammarly in college because they provided an account for students. I love how it connects with everything, whether you’re writing a social media post, an email, or your show notes. Grammarly helps you with your writing.

Once my show notes and blog posts are drafted, I run everything through Grammarly. It helps me catch grammar errors, refine my word choice, and make sure my writing flows smoothly. This step is especially important because even though AI can generate content, it’s those minor tweaks that make your writing professional and easy to read.

I also talked about using Grammarly on my podcast episode about blogging on my newest podcast – Digital Marketing 101 for Latinas. I told my listeners not to use the excuse that they are not good writers to not start a blog, because there are AI tools like Grammarly to help them!

Final Thoughts on How I Use AI to Help With My Podcast

AI is not here to replace the human touch in podcasting—it’s here to support it. I still bring my voice, my perspective, and my creativity to every episode. But by using tools like Auphonic, Whisper Transcribe, ChatGPT, and Grammarly, I’ve been able to save time, reduce stress, and stay consistent with producing quality episodes.

If you’re a podcaster feeling overwhelmed by the workload, I highly recommend experimenting with some of these AI tools. You might be surprised by how much they can help you focus on what you love most—creating and sharing great conversations.
